The National Chemical Database Service offers access to a suite of commercial databases and resources, with additional development to create a chemistry data repository to take place. All UK academic institutions are eligible for access to the Service, access will initially be authenticated on institutional IP address - a username and password can be obtained if this is not possible.
What is the Royal Society of Chemistry's vision for the Service?
We intend to build the Service for the future - to develop a chemistry data repository for UK academia, and to build tools, models and services on this data store to increase the value and impact of researchers' funded work. Throughout the lifetime of the contract period we will continue to develop this data store and look forward to working with the community to make this a world-leading exemplar of the value of research data availability.
